As demonstrated by these two trailers…
Dorian Gray…
The Wolfman…

See the entire movie HERE!

Apparently filmed at Comic Con and leaked online…
It is, of course, a remake of the 1941 original starring Lon Chaney Junior. Here’s the plot from imdb…
Lawrence Talbot, a haunted nobleman, is lured back to his family estate after his brother vanishes. Reunited with his estranged father, Talbot sets out to find his brother… and discovers a horrifying destiny for himself. Talbot’s childhood ended the night his mother died. After he left the sleepy Victorian hamlet of Blackmoor, he spent decades recovering and trying to forget. But when his brother’s fiancée, Gwen Conliffe, tracks him down to help find her missing love, Talbot returns home to join the search. He learns that something with brute strength and insatiable bloodlust has been killing the villagers, and that a suspicious Scotland Yard inspector named Aberline has come to investigate.

This got me rather excited. Looks really good.

I like the idea of using the Theatre of Terror as…. a theatre! and showing comic strips from Scream on a regular basis. We can also use the site to show any new comic strips we or anyone else makes. I’ll get in touch with whoever runs this Action site http://www.sevenpennynightmare.co.uk and see if they want to ‘play’ some of their comic scans on this site as well like a ‘guest contributor’
I also love Italian Spiderman. He is officially the man. I like the idea of ‘playing’ things in the theatre. Hopefully it will encourage people to log on and get their weekly hit of whatever the hell we are currently ’showing’ on the Theatre of Terror.
With all this in mind i’m going to start showing the new(ish) Hammer film ‘Beyond the Rave’ in weekly installments. I’ve not seen it myself because i dont seem to have the time, but maybe i will if i can watch it in snippets on this site.
Check out the trailer below:

On visiting my comic book shop, I discovered a comic book that came out recently. It’s called ‘Lost Boys: Reign of Frogs’. This was a spin off from The Lost Boys, the cult classic vampire movie.
Being a sucker (no pun intended) for The Lost Boys, I picked it up. And I liked it. There are cheesy moments, but I think it is more tongue in cheek than bad writing. This comic follows the Frogs brothers well known from the movie. Set in the present day, a teenager wants to become a vampire hunter and seeks out Edgar Frog. From there, there are a couple of flashbacks as Edgar explains his background as a vampire hunter. Plenty of action and blood letting. It also gave an interesting spin on American history.
The art is good but I’m not a fan of thick black outlines surrounding the characters. I find them a bit distracting. This is a limited series lasting 4 issues. I’m going to pick up another issue then I will if it’s worth sticking with it.
I also found out that there is a sequel to the Lost Boys. It’s due out this summer, straight to DVD. Straight to DVD, I ask? Does that mean it’s crap? I have no idea but I’m apprehensive seeing how most horror sequels can fail to impress. I’ll reserve my opinion until it comes out. Meanwhile, check out the trailer.

There’s plenty of crap on youtube but if you keep digging there are some real gems. Hooray for the internet.
